Do me a favor, and ask yourselves, are you in Pain? Are you holding onto something in the past that has left you in pain emotionally, mentally, or even physically. So many of us are in so much pain, walking around with the weight of the world on our shoulders, afraid to face what is hurting us the most. Pain is not natural. Pain is life’s way of getting your attention, and awareness is the first step toward healing. When it erupts your life, you must stop doing whatever is causing it, and start doing whatever it will take to eliminate it. One of my favorite teachers in life, Iyanla Vanzant said it best when she stated, “Until you heal the wounds of your past, you will continue to bleed. You can bandage the bleeding with food, and alcohol, and drugs, with work, with sex, but eventually it will stain your life and you will continue to bleed. You have to find the strength to pull out the core of your pain, the memory of it, and make peace with it”.
